20x24in canvas — acrylic and oil pastel

kyli, my best friend who passed, was enamored with sunflowers. So naturally they made a home on this canvas that cried with me as I tried to grasp that she no longer had breath. I love how the abstract moon gives the piece a calm night feel of a sunflower field. She’d pull her car over anytime she passed them. She was as bright and strong as one too. I’m sorry you couldn’t stand tall anymore, Kylita. Thank you for being your entire self.
